Although it may seem an arduous challenge, Cerro Toco is the perfect gateway for those seeking to discover the majestic heights of the mountain range. An excellent opportunity for adventurous people!<\/span><\/p>\n

Cerro Toco Adventure Itinerary<\/span><\/h2>\n

We\u2019ll pick you up at 7 a.m. to begin the journey. <\/b>Once everyone is on board, we\u2019ll drive along the imposing route 27-CH. Before facing the mountain we\u2019ll make a brief stop at the Licancabur and Juriques lookouts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then we\u2019ll drive to the base of Cerro Toco to make a stop at an altitude of 5,250 m.a.s.l. After we renew our energies, the climbing begins. <\/span>This can take two to three hours<\/b>, depending on the pace of the group. It\u2019ll culminate with the satisfaction of reaching the top! However,<\/span> the adventure doesn\u2019t end there<\/b>, as the descent will take us approximately one hour more, allowing us to return to San Pedro de Atacama at 2:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the difference in altitude is about 1,300 ft, don\u2019t be fooled! It\u2019s an ideal trek for those who are new to climbing or who are looking to acclimatize to climb larger volcanoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recommendations<\/span><\/h2>\n

Preparation is essential to enjoy this experience to the fullest! We suggest that you wear warm clothing, as temperatures can be cold at high altitudes, trekking shoes that provide support and traction, sunscreen to protect you from the intense sun, and, of course,<\/span> at least two liters of water<\/b> to keep you hydrated during the climbing.<\/span><\/p>\n
